Izmir proved to be a world leader in the growth of housing prices ahead of such big cities as Istanbul, Ankara and Antalya. Demand and housing prices in Izmir are continuing to grow.
One of the largest Turkish cities located on the second place ranking Residential Global Cities Index (GRCI), which tracks the average price of housing on the basis of official data in local currencies in 150 cities around the world.
To date ten world ranking by the international consulting company Knight Frank, growth in housing prices include:
Hong Kong (China)
Izmir, behind the Icelandic Reykjavik (21.3 per cent), took second place with annual growth in housing prices with the rate of 19.8 percent.
The Turkish metropolis on the Aegean sea that was ahead of Istanbul (6.5%, or 53) in the global index of housing prices in the third quarterly report (third quarter 2016 to third quarter 2017).
The capital of Turkey also showed good results and took in the ranking of the 36-th position (Ankara – 7.6 per cent). Antalya in the rankings, despite strong demand among buyers.
