Starway World Best Hotels awards for 2017 on March 13 were awarded 100 best hotels from different countries.
The best hotel was the Mitsis Ramira (Greece). The second and third places were taken by Saphir Resort & Spa (Turkey) and Atrium Prestige Spa Resort & Villas (Greece). The top ten also included such Turkish hotels: BLUE WATERS CLUB, MAXX ROYAL BELEK GOLF RESORT VOYAGE SORGUN.
In total, among the winners of Turkish hotels there were 46, followed by hotels in Egypt and Greece – 14 winners in each country. Among the top hotels selected by tourists were also 11 hotels of Thailand, 5 hotels of Vietnam – 5, 4 hotels of the Dominican Republic. At two hotels in Bulgaria, Tunisia and Spain were also named the best ever.
Among the award — winning airlines named the best Charter airline Royal Flight, and the best regular-Turkish Airlines.
The procedure for the survey this time was attended by 198 795 tourists who were evaluated 6346 hotels in 92 destinations in 38 countries, said the head of Department on public relations of Coral Travel Marina Makarkova.
“It is important that the survey itself was conducted regardless of the star hotel. Tourists Travel been evaluated by staff, condition of rooms and hotel, food and beverage, cleanliness, facilities for children, garden and pool, as well as animation and sports activities. In addition, the questionnaire was a point about air travel. For each answer to the hotel points were awarded, eventually the average result was displayed separately for hotels and airlines. At the same time, only those of them were evaluated, for which at least 30 questionnaires were filled out – that is, the minimum representative sample,” Ms. Makarkova said.
